My teacher was bought a AT&T LG Shine cu720 phone,her has lots of students send emails to she,so she want to change message tones for her LG Shine phone,if you had encounter the same problem,you can learn here,i will teach you how to change message tones.good luck.I hope you have benefited from this, and if you need help.LG Shine Tips & Tricks

1. Download and open Bitpim. [ download here ]

2. Make sure you set your phone setting to the Data Service (Menu/Settings/Connection/USB Connection Mode/Data Service)

3. Connect your phone to the computer, if you have the CU720 you have to manually set the phone settings on Bitpim to the LGVX8700 or else it will not read it. I’m not sure if you have to do this with any other Shine.

4. Under File System in Bitpim, go to LGAPP>Media>Midis>MsgTone

5. Overwrite any message tone file that you no longer want and replace it with your own. You can right click the file and hit “Overwrite” to do this.

NOTE:Please make sure to back up your file just in case something happens in the future.

Answer:

1.Press the left soft key to enter the mian menu.
2.Enter Settings.
3.Press 3.Bluetooth.
4.Select 2.Search New Devices.
5.When you Tum on Bluetooth the phone will automati-cally begin the search for neary devices.
6.Select the Device you wish to pair with and press Add Enter 0-0-0-0 as the passcode and press OK.

Question:How to create ringtones from mp3 files using bitpim?

Answer: AT&T Cell Phones Faq

1.use any mp3 conversion software to convert your song to mp3 format.
2.in bitpim,open the ringers page and click the add new ringer icon on the tool bar.
3.when the choose files box appears,select the file where you have your mp3’s stored.
Note:if the song you are selecting still has the folder icon and not the musical note icon next to it,it still needs no be converted to mp3 format.

4.with the convert audio file box shows up in bitpim,change the sample rate to 32000,the channels to stereo(2),and the bit rate to 64.Then press convert.
5.when you can,press play clip to hear the song.
6.select a 25-30 second clip using the pink and red markets.
7.preview the ringtone by clicking play clip and readjust the markerts if needed.
8.click ok to create the ringtone.
Note:Bitpim will automatically add the ringtone to your ringers page.
9.To send the new ringtone to your phone.click send phone date.click ringtones.and click ok.
